The Field Library, located several blocks from the Hudson  River at 4 Nelson Avenue, is Peekskill's major information resource.

As a full scale public library  serving a population of approximately 22,000 Peekskill residents and 35,000 Town of Cortlandt residents, The Field Library boasts  a collection of 80,000 books, over 300 different magazine and newspaper titles,  and a wide variety of audiocassettes, compact discs and videocassettes.
