Field Notes Book Group

Saturday, April 27, 2019 - 11:00am

Join the Field Notes Book Group on Saturday, April 27, from 11 to 12:30 at the Teen Zone in the Field Library for coffee, snacks and a lively discussion of this month's book, Inside of a Dog: What Dogs See, Smell, and Know by Alexandra Horowitz.  Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk.

Horowitz, a dog owner herself, turns her scientific eye on "man's best friend," examining how dogs really perceive the world, what their behavior actually means to them (as opposed to what we assume their behavior means), and what it's like to be a dog.  For those who love dogs, this book will be an eye opener, and even for those who are not dog fanciers, there's enough fascinating information that you'll never see a dog quite the same way again.

Coffee and refreshments will be available. Come and join us for what promises to be an interesting discussion.
