Welcome to the Children's Room!
Check out the fun at The Field Library! We have dozens of programs for
children of all ages. We offer weekly story and craft programs homework
help, book groups, storytelling, gardening, family entertainment, and special
programs all year long.
Of course, our Children's Room is filled with thousands of great books, DVDs,
videos, CDs, CD-Roms, and over a dozen computers! Not to mention some

Once Upon a Storytime
Book Babies ~ Wednesdays at 11 a.m.
You're never too young for a good story! This interactive program is
perfect for the littlest library lovers--babies up to 3 years--and their
caregivers. Join us for stories, songs, puppets, and (oh boy!)

Start with stories, songs and finger plays. Add a simple, but simply

Crafts for Two!
Who says
grown-ups can't be crafty too?! Children six and up and
parents (or caregivers) are invited to join us for challenging craft projects on
the third Thursday night of the month. Sign-up is required

Calling all artists! A simple drop-in craft for all artists 3 years old

New readers have opinions too! Join a book discussion group for 2nd
grade students & up, along with interested adults. Chapter books on a

Tale Waggers ~ Last Thursday of the month at 4:30 p.m.
Are you a natural storyteller--or storyteller wannabe? Learn the art
of telling tales, from "once upon a time" to "happily ever

the last Thursday of the month, and all storytellers--and good listeners--are

Catch the Reading Bug!
You don't want to miss out on our famous Summer Reading Game! Just read
and "report," and you'll get stickers, cool prizes and your very own
Reading Bug game piece. Read enough books, and you'll be invited to the
best Pizza and Dance Party ever! We don't mean to bug you,
but you'll have fun! Designed for kids 4 years old & up. Sign-up

Library Live!
If you love to be entertained, you've come to the right place! This
summer, our Thursday night line-up includes performances by singers, jugglers,
magicians, storytellers, a really cool butterfly guy and more! Perfect for
