Reference Department
 Our reference department is staffed by professional librarians who are ready to assist you in person, by email or telephone. Our "eRef" service allows you to get quick answers using email for those brief questions that don't need extensive research. Click here to email reference from home.

During hours when the library is closed, you may leave your questions on our answering machine. A Reference Librarian will return your call as soon as possible.
If your reference and research needs cannot be met by our excellent in-house collection of printed reference materials here at the library, you can also call upon our extensive array of computerized databases and full-text online resources. Click here for online databases from home.
User friendly computer terminals provide access to the online catalog of The Field Library's collection, as well as to the catalogs of other libraries in the Westchester Library System. The circulation system used by all the public libraries in the County puts a lot of power in your hands! You can place books on hold, check your library records, and renew your books and materials, all online!
