T. Coraghessan Boyle read his short story, "The Lie," first published in the New Yorker April, 2008. During audience Q&A, Tom was very entertaining, friendly and illuminating, and he graciously stood during the entire reception, signing lots of books & chatting with each and every one of his readers, well-wishers, and friends. At the conclusion of his reading, Tom accepted The Field Library 15th annual Chester A. Smith Award, as well as several other official expressions of recognition and tribute.
