ALL AGES - Solar Eclipse Viewing

Monday, August 21, 2017 - 1:45pm to 3:15pm
There will be a NASA live stream set up in the teen section of The Field Library (on the adult side, straight back once you enter the library), and all ages are welcome to meet here 15-20 minutes early and make the pinhole viewers that will be taken outside and used during the eclipse.
It is very important that unless you have purchased Eclipse Viewing Glasses (and here’s a handy list of NASA-approved reputable vendors), that you do not look directly at the sun while this event is occurring!  Adults that wish to attend with young children should keep an eye on them to make sure that they stick to this rule, and also to gently remind others during this event. Sun-damaged retinas are sad retinas.
