Field of Mystery
The Field of Mystery Book Group will meet to discuss our September selection, Solitude Creek, by Jeffrey Deaver, from 10:30 to 12 noon in the Program Room downstairs. Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk.
Solitude Creek starts with a horrific event: at a concert, someone cries "Fire" and people panic and rush to the exits, which are all blocked. People are trampled to death. There was never a fire. Kathryn Dance, a California Bureau of Investigation officer, looks into the matter and realizes that it wasn't an accident, and that the person who perpetrated this crime is planing to keep going, using crowds' fear to kill them, unless she can find and stop him.
Join us for an interesting discussion. Coffee and donuts will be available.
