Field of Mystery Book Group

On Saturday, December 5, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Field of Mystery Book Group will meet by Zoom to discuss their next selection, Little Deaths, by Emma Flint.
In summer, 1965 in Queens, Ruth Malone discovers her children missing. When their fate is discovered, suspicion immediately turns on Ruth, a single mother, a cocktail waitress who wears provocative clothing and drinks. Clearly she's a bad mother, but did she actually kill her children? Everyone is ready to believe it except Peter Wonicke, the tabloid reporter assigned to her case, who begins to have serious doubts about the police and about Ruth's reputation as he digs deeper into the facts.
Copies of the book will be available at The Field Library circulation desk. If you are interested in joining, please contact Nora Mulligan at nmulligan@wlsmail.org for a zoom link within a week of the meeting. Join us for what promises to be a fascinating discussion of an intriguing and dark book.
