Field of Mystery Book Group

The Field of Mystery Book Group will meet by Zoom on Saturday, March 6, from 11 to 12:30 to discuss this month's selection, The Word is Murder, by Anthony Horowitz.

In this twist on the traditional mystery, an elderly woman goes to a funeral home to plan her funeral.  Six hours later, she's dead.  Is it murder?  If so, who among the cast of possible suspects was the murderer?  Daniel Hawthorne, a brilliant and difficult investigator, takes on the case, and insists on Anthony Horowitz, the famous author, working with him to keep a record of his doings, to be a Watson to his Sherlock Holmes.  Horowitz discovers that writing a murder investigation is a lot easier than participating in one.
