Field Notes Book Group

Saturday, March 16, 2019 - 11:00am
Join the Field Notes Book Group on Saturday, March 16, from 11 to 12:30 at The Field Library Gallery for coffee, snacks and a lively discussion of this month's book, A Reliable Wifeby Robert Goolrick.  Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk.

A Reliable Wife, set in rural Wisconsin just after the turn of the century, tells the story of rich widower, Ralph Truitt, who has sent away for a reliable wife. The woman he's sent for, Catherine Land, is not at all the simple, honest woman he was expecting.  She has sinister plans for her husband, but he has hidden dark depths of his own and the two of them will contend against each other, in love and hate, in trust and distrust, in an isolated farm made more so by the relentless winter.

Coffee and refreshments will be available. Come and join us for what promises to be an exciting discussion.
