Field Notes Book Group
Join the Field Notes Book Group on Saturday, May 18, from 11 to 12:30 at the Teen Zone in the Field Library for coffee, snacks and a lively discussion of this month's book, Alternate Side by Anna Quindlen. Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk.
Anna Quindlen, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for her columns for the New York Times, here demonstrates her insight into the lives and complications of upper class New York City residents. Her protagonist, Nora Nolan, lives with her husband in a dead end street in the city, and believes -- most of the time -- that things are all right for her and her family, until one day something happens to shake up her neighborhood and bring into sharp relief all the problems in her city, her family, her life that she's been covering up.
Coffee and refreshments will be available. Come and join us for what promises to be an interesting discussion.
