Field Notes Book Group

The Field Notes Book Group will meet virtually via zoom from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to discuss this month's selection, Perestroika in Paris, by Jane Smiley.
The bestselling book features an extraordinary racehorse, Perestroika, and what happens when she takes off from her stable outside Paris and goes to explore the world. Meeting up with a street-wise dog named Frieda, a couple of ducks and an opnionated raven (is there any other kind?), she keeps a low profile in the City of Lights until she meets Etienne, a young boy who lives with his aging grandmother, and discovers a secret side of Paris. But how long can she go undiscovered?
Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk at The Field Library. If you are interested in joining the discussion but aren't a member of the group, send an email to Nora Mulligan, nmulligan@wlsmail.org, the week of the meeting for the link. Looking forward to a fun read and interesting discussion.
