Field Notes Book Group

The Field Notes Book Group will meet virtually via Zoom from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to discuss our May selection, Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, Her Therapist, and our Lives Revealed, by Lori Gottlieb. Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk.
Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, Her Therapist, and our Lives Revealed is a fascinating nonfiction account of a period in the life of a therapist, who goes into therapy over her own emotional crisis as she helps other people navigate their own life difficulties, from the man who believes everyone around him is an idiot, to the woman facing her imminent death, to the woman who has given up on life altogether. As their stories develop, we share in the best and worst of humanity, and get a chance to see therapy from both sides of the couch.
If you are interested in joining the discussion but are not a member of the group, send an email to Nora Mulligan at nmulligan@wlsmail.org to get an invitation the week before the meeting. Join us for what promises to be an interesting discussion.
