Field Notes Book Group

The Field Notes Book Group will be meeting IN PERSON and also by Zoom on Saturday, July 17, to discuss our next book, The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek, by Kim Michele Richardson. Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk.
Cussy Mary Carter is a proud member of the Kentucky Pack Horse Library Project, designed to bring reading material to the most isolated people of rural Kentucky during the Depression. She is also a blue woman, one of the last of her kind, born with blue tinged skin. People are suspicious of Cussy because of her skin color and because of her connection with the government, but she never lets any of that get in the way of her mission.
We will be serving coffee and donuts, and will be meeting downstairs in the program room. Come and join us for what promises to be a lively discussion.
